I have a movie that is widescreen that keeps being squished and formatted into fullframe by Plex. It is widescreen on every computer i put it on. I have added about 1000 movies and never had this issue. It is a brand new movie.

I have this problems on 2 movies: Galveston (2018) & On Chesil Beach (2017)

Both are ripped from my own Bluray discs with MakeMKV. I have several hundred other discs where this has not happened. Works perfect on Win 10 but not via Plex on my 2 Samsung TV’s (2015 & 2018 models) or on my Samsung phone. On the old TV I can change the format by pressing B, but I have not found a way around this on the newest Q9 TV.

Why does this happen to some movies? Are there any other way of ripping them that will make them behave correct?
