# Plex Pre-rolls Causing Movies to Fail

Server Version#:1.24.3.5033  
Player Version#:all  
When pre-rolls are enabled transcoding of movies will fail. This is consistent across various players and versions, including Fire TV players. This only happens if the movie transcoded. If the movie is played with direct play it works fine. Disabling pre-rolls is a work-around for the issue, but it’s disappointing to be unable to use the pre-rolls feature.
