Hi all,
I decided to go ahead and try the premium music feature but it seems it cannot connect. I have turned off the firewalls in my router which is my only firewall and still...nothing. I am singed in using my plexpass account and am running the latest versions of the web/server. Any ideas would be awesome!
Oh yea i am running opensuse 13.1
There have been 3 reports of this error. One was found to be firewall issue.
The underlying error message in the log indicates that it is necessary for the server to be signed into plex.tv for this to work.
Is this the case for you: Internet available and server signed into plex.tv within Settings / Server / General?
If the server is signed in to plex.tv and problem does not go away after signing out and signing in on the settings / server / general page, then will need some diagnostic logs

I believe I attached the log file you requested. Still a noob at linux and learning everyday!

It was 2 log files:
Plex Media Server.log with Debug Logging enabled on the server and restart of the server to get fresh log file
and Plex/Web App (localhost:32400/web) Verbose Debug Logging log file

Have established that the internet connection needed is to pubsub.plex.tv
When you set debug logging on Plex Media Server you can see what is logged for EventSource
I think there is a DNS issue with some ISPs - which country are you in ?
Could you repeatedly do
nslookup pubsub.plex.tv
to see if you get different IP Addresses
and also do repeated
tracert pubsub.plex.tv
to see if it is going to the dutch site seen elsewhere (dutchcontacts.nl)
When you get the ip address from nslookup pubsub.plex.tv
you can do nslookup on the IP Address to see if it is right

im in the united states and have time warner. i use 8.8.8.8 for DNS though.
Your DNS Lookups for pubsub.plex.tv are ok
Did you set Debug Logging for Plex Media Server and restart it ?
Need to find all references in the log file for EventSource
And there should be an error like this when the create fails

i did restart it and then rebooted the computer since i am unsure on how to restart the server since its a service in linux i believe...
I attached all the log files I can find. Which of these do you exactly need?

Hi I am having the same problem. I am trying to add to the music premium library, already successfull created on the day launched. when I try to refresh i get the error. here is my log for debug [
scratch that. I just restarted plex after changing the sign in settings and the problem is no longer present. yay!

uploaded the screen shots and the plex media server log. Trying to find the log file for the webapp still...
I had not noticed that you added a log because you edited an existing post and editing a post does not get flagged on the forum.
Anyway - i have looked at the Plex Media Server.log and throughout the log there are DNS errors - as if DNS is not working for the plexmediaserver process or internet down

Okay I am still a noob. I could not figure out how to edit the resolv.conf file but I did add my default gate way to the settings in yast and it went through! Not sure if that is what you needed me to do but it worked!
