# Plex recently added items stuck

You tried to do a [plex dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064), but only did part of it, but plex still remembered the media. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. Because plex “remembers” the prior files it re-uses the info about them including the date added info. Really useful if a drive disconnects.
