Server Version#: Version 1.43.3.10896
Player Version#: Version 4.160.0
Hi Plex Support,

I’ve had intermittent issues for the last few days where my server shows as offline for remote access. I’ve tried restarting the server and rebooting my computer. I have a manually specified custom port and that port is open on my network for port forwarding. Without making any changes occasionally it will show as available for remote access and work but most of the time it is down.

Do you have any troubleshooting steps/tips I could perform in order to try and get it up and running? Please let me know if I should do any steps and then download fresh logs to provide them.

Thanks,
mightymurrs

Also experiencing this. Can access https://[MY\_PUBLIC\_IP\_V4]:32400/identity from outside the network fine but cannot connect to Plex server through the app.

Worth noting, uninstalling and rolling back to Version 1.43.2.10687 solves the issue.

There were backend issues at Plex. Should now be resolved.

I honestly thought I did post a “we’re investigating this” but looks like I didn’t. Sorry for about that. When this thread initially started there was a backend issue that was DNS related that was quickly resolved but probably needed some time before it propagated out to everyone. This incident should have triggered a update to the our statu…

Try restarting your server. If the problem persists, pull the [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) and post in the thread I linked above. It seems to be the most active (more eyes on the problem).

Ok, here’s a weird one. Everything was great, no issues with remote access, then Xfinity decided to update the firmware in my bridged Xfinity router. It unbridged itself which shut off all the connectivity to my Nighthawk router and once I re-bridged it I can’t get Plex to stay in Remote access mode very long. It works for a few hours to a few days then stops. I have tried it with and without checking the box for the port forwarded 32400. I’m really perplexed. Also, even more strange, the Plex app on my phone can’t connect half the time, but Plezy can connect any time remote access is working on my server machine.

Can’t believe I never responded to this earlier but yes my issues were good early September and happy to report they’ve been solid for the past month. Thanks for your response!
