# Plex-Server and NAS

Hello,
Currently I have Plex installed on my Synology NAS. I would like to outsource the Plex server to another server on my barebone. Is this possible? Can the Plex server from “Server1” access my NAS and access the media such as videos etc.?

It will not access the _Plex server_ on the NAS. But it is certainly possible to give it access to the network file share(s) of the NAS (if they both are in the same local area network).
Providing network file shares is the main task a NAS is built for.
All you need to do is to give the PC access permission to the NAS.
