# Plex server can't see a network drive

/Server Version#: just downloaded 5/17/21  
Player Version#:  
Setting up server, using Add Library \> Add folder \> Browse for Media Folder, I’m only offered places on the C drive. My media will be stored on a network drive. How do I get Plex to see it?

You can type the UNC path directly, like `\\NASName\ShareName\Media`.

Or you can map the network drive to a drive letter.

To complement the above:  
If you are running Plex server as a system service, the UNC method is the only viable option.  
As drive letters are connected when the user is logging in. Which never happens when a service is started.

If you only added the drive letter _after_ Plex server has been already started, you must stop and restart Plex server before it notices the additional drive letter.
