Have wrestled with this problem for 2 days. Posted in forum and tried suggestions from folks. there must be a bug in the software. I have 2,713 songs in iTunes. Plex adds all but 270 of them.
I contributed to this problem by correcting the genres on some songs. Instead of correcting both places (iTunes and Plex) I thought the Refresh All Metadata would handle this…it did not (is this a bug?). Next I tried Scan Library Files - this didn’t update the genres. So I decided to delete the songs, thinking they would be readied the next time I ran the Scan Library Files. No - isn’t this a bug?
I have deleted the server, and associated files. Then reinstalled and all but the 270 songs loaded. Of course, iTunes plugin is installed and the library linked is pointing to my iTunes library.
I really want to use Plex but am perplexed and worn out. What is in the library plays properly on Roku…basically Roku plays the songs in the server, however many there are.
