# Plex Server will not start on Windows 10 Pro

Server Version#: Windows 10 Pro 21H1 19043.1288
Player Version#: 1.12.5.5173
Fresh version of Windows 10 Pro on Dell OptiPlex 7060. Plex doesn’t start. Task Manager shows nothing. Tried uninstalling reinstalling, rebooting, etc. Please help.

Sam here, I installed media server and it will not open, tried everything… not sure what else i should do

Just to rule this out (sorry if you already tried this)
PMS runs as a service to access it you need to open it in a web browser
For local computer use this or the LAN IP Address:
`http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/`
For LAN
`http://192.168.xxx.xxx:32400/web/`

Did you previously relocate the [Plex data folder](https://support.plex.tv/articles/202915258-where-is-the-plex-media-server-data-directory-located/) on this machine? This folder location must exist and be accessible or PMS won’t start. If the previous [Plex data folder](https://support.plex.tv/articles/202915258-where-is-the-plex-media-server-data-directory-located/) doesn’t exist anymore, either recreate it or remove the key from the Windows registry.
Another common cause for the server to fail at startup is when the main network port 32400 is already taken by another app. Torrent clients are notorious for this.
