Do not update. 1.40+ introduced many database changes. Updating now, while the server is not functioning correctly, could cause additional issues.

Did you delete something manually or are you referring to the [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064)?

Point a browser at the IP address of the NAS: https://syno\_ip\_address:32400/identity.

For example, if the IP address of the NAS is 10.1.2.3, use [https://10.1.2.3:32400/identity](https://10.1.2.3:32400/identity).

You should see a line of XML containing either “claimed = 0” (unclaimed) or “claimed = 1” (claimed).

Do you receive a response from the server? If so, is it claimed or unclaimed?

Can you access Plex Server settings using the local IP address, http://syno\_ip\_address:32400/web?

If so:

1. Stop Plex Media Server and wait 30 seconds.
2. Start Plex Media Server and wait 3 minutes (to log the startup sequence).
3. Retrieve a set of log files (Settings → Troubleshooting) and upload the zip file to the thread.

If you cannot reach server settings, then please do the following:

1. Stop Plex Media Server and wait 30 seconds.
2. Start Plex Media Server and wait 3 minutes (to log the startup sequence).
3. Stop Plex Media Server.
4. Using Synology File Station, navigate to the [Plex Data Folder](https://support.plex.tv/articles/202915258-where-is-the-plex-media-server-data-directory-located/). Right click on the Logs directory and compress to Logs.zip. Download the zip file, then upload to the thread.
