Plex SOS Troubleshoot: Posters, Move Data, Cast Members Not Downloading - Refresh Metadata DS718

Can you try this:
https://support.plex.tv/articles/202967376-clearing-plugin-channel-agent-http-caches/

Then repeat the Refresh Metadata

I tried what you said, please see below.

And I did refresh a movie upon restarting Plex.

And still nothing.

Here are the server logs, I thought they might be helpful.
Plex Media (2.4 MB)

I am running this on a DS718+ not sure if that makes a difference.

So. I wanted to test out if Plex would collect metadata for one of the files I am having an issue with on my Cloud account.

KEEP IN MIND: All the issues I have been stating have been occurring on my Synology DS718+ NOT my Cloud.

I am just testing the agents to see if it would refresh and it did. See below.

I am not an expert for Synology or Linux in general.
I can only give you some general tips.

  1. make sure your Syno box has the accurate date and time (set up the NTP client and verify it is working)

  2. Determine the maximum usable MTU size of your internet connection. Put this value into the network configuration of your NAS.

    Then reboot the NAS

Trumpy81,

I followed your directions. Here are the screenshots of the steps.

Plex Media (3.4 MB)

When complete, it does pull in IMBD rating, summary, year, movie title, etc. It does not pull in posters, backgrounds, or cast member photos. See below.

I have attached the zip.
Plex Media (3.4 MB)

I went ahead and did what you suggested.

And unfortunately it looks like I ended up in a worse situation with the whole fix matching…

Plex is just not my friend!

The funny thing is TV Shows load in perfect.

The only affect libraries are movies.

I let it run another refresh and this time it worked…

so it appears that the issue was that there was a corruption.

Trumpy,

I completed the following as I am encountering this issue again… so I thought this might give me some answers but nothing.

Keep in mind, I just opened the DS718 and my two WD 3 TB Drives.

See below, no error message was returned.

My apologies.

I now ran an extended test. It’s been at 10% for a little now. how long does it usually take to complete the test?

Got it, I will wait!

I do not see any estimated time or progress bar.

So I will assume it is working in the background.

It’s progressing! So not stuck at 10%

Made it’s way up to 90% been there for a little.

Appears to be doing something though (see below resource monitor) so I assume it’s normal.

The scan finished and just returned a “normal” no errors appeared.
