So I have set up Live TV / DVR and it works pretty great, but what puzzles me is why my server transcodes when a TV is the target. If I watch using my iPhone or one of my Apple TVs, everything direct plays. But for some reason, when watching through my Samsung TVs the server transcodes.
You would think a TV should handle these TS streams? Is this expected behaviour? Is there something I can do to enable direct play? Id really like to turn the transcoder off entirely but as of now, I really cant.
