Plex.tv will not let me logon and see my servers on certain devices today

I posted this on Twitter and plex twitter account says there isn’t any issues, but I think there is something going since the devices that don’t work today worked yesterday:

Discovered that none of my Kodi machines with the Plex Add-on are not working today, they worked yesterday without a problem. I removed the addon and the addon data folders to make sure everything was clear but still not working after I enter the four digit key to log into the app, I just get the following screen and none of my servers are accessible, and this is every Kodi media center in my house:

Then I started playing around with other devices, trying to log onto the site and then choosing the launch on plex.tv on iOS chrome and I get to my pin screen and it never goes any further, tried it on wifi and LTE and same results:

I tried Safari on iOS and it works without a problem and then trying the plex app on my iPad it works also, I can see and access my servers:

So it seems Kodi addon and Chrome iOS browser are not working today which I know the Kodi addon worked last night. I am not sure if there is something going on with plex authentication today. Thank you.

Looks like Kodi updated the requests addon. If you go to the recently updated in addons (click add-ons from the main screen, go up to the open box, and check ‘recently updated’) requests should be listed there towards the top. Click on the Requests to open and then go to update and you should have local package cache version of 2.12.4 still on the machine, that is if you didn’t remove and reinstall plex. If you downgrade to that version it fixes Plex on Kodi. If you removed and reinstalled Plex, you will probably need to manually download the Requests package which you can get from here https://github.com/beenje/script.module.requests/archive/v2.12.4.zip . You will need to manually install this zip file to get the older version reinstalled. That should fix it. Still not sure why the iOS Chrome browser is still not working.

I’m having this same issue on Kodi on a Firestick. Installed version, and version in repos is 0.1.2. Going to try downgrading to 0.1.1 from local package cache and see if it fixes it.

Downgrading to 0.1.1 did not fix.

Downgrade the ‘Requests’ add-on, which you will see in recently updated add-ons, the Plex add-on isn’t the problem. Clicking the update button should show you the older cached version you can downgrade to.

This add-on is used for multiple Kodi add-ons so I don’t think they really took into account the Plex add-on. I know when I tried to uninstall it, it said that youtube and a bunch of other updates required this update.

Plex update the Kodi addon to 0.1.3 which appears to work with the new Requests addon, so it should be working if you upgrade both.
