# Plex update for Google TV

I’m using the new interface app on Google TV Chromecast. The new push does not allow the administrator or use it to set a timeout limit before the paused screen goes back to the login screen or rather, the switch user screen. it would not be such a pain if I wasn’t logged in as administrator and had to type in my PIN every time I come back to the screen saver, which only allows pausing for a couple of minutes before jumping back to the login screen

If anyone knows how to change that setting, please let me know.

The whole new interface is a backwards step in functionality - yeah it looks pretty but everything is more clicks.

Get to the end of an episode and the “skip credits” option flashes up too soon and is gone before the credits actually roll, so now I have to press up three times to get to it, then another click to start the next episode. Before it was a simple click, right, click to skip to the next - three presses have become five.

Logging back in is a pain - and makes things less secure the more you do it, I have to type the pin in which is selecting numbers on screen in full view of everyone in the room.

Rearranging links on the left requires hopping in to a submenu, instead of just hitting left on the option.

It’s like they only looked at it and no one actually sat down and tried to use it - ux is more than looking pretty, functionality should be first.

Not commenting on all comments in here but totally agree on the skip credits part 👍🏼 strange that at the end of the show I have to click up twice (past subtitles choice?? Why is that of interest at the end of the show 😅)

Would be good if that is either 1 click up or down or even has focus straight away when pressing the remote.
