# Plex Watch Together Cannot access this item No Access

I’ve seen a few posts of this in the past but didnt see a fix.

Trying to use the watch together function. Both accounts have plex passes, content is shared and the user that has the content shared to can watch it alone. But when that user tries to join the Watch Together function it shows this message:

"Cannot access this item

You don’t have access to this item. Ask the owner to share it with you."

Tried restarted app, remote access is set up and each user can watch it when not using the watch together.

This is definitely a shot in the dark, but maybe restart the server and have both accounts log out and back in.

I think I figured it out.

Instead of sharing the content in settings. I went into the content directly and hit the Share… and shared the file individually.

Ended up working then.
