# Plex web is transcoding music files Opus -\> aac. Is it a bug?

Server Version#: 1.32.7.7571  
Why Plex web client is transcoding my music audio files from opus → aac?  
Chrome natively supports to play opus: [Audio/Video](https://www.chromium.org/audio-video/)

is it something which happens by design or that opus-\> aac seems like a bug?

That is regular Opus file downloaded from youtube
