what do you mean by “over-truncated”? If you start scrolling down the artist page, Plexamp will shrink / fade the background image into the background. There’s a few threads discussing the “ideal” way to display things in desktop mode. ---

The banner shrinks so the first row of albums stays on screen. With Large grid size a row is tall, so on a landscape tablet there’s less left for the art. Settings › Experience › Grid Size › Normal gives you a good chunk more. It was also holding room for the player bar when nothing was playing; the next beta gives that back. ---

In the sense that you never see the full artwork - which makes it kinda pointless. Earlier betas had the albums lower down the screen. I appreciate it’s hard to find an ideal, so this is just beta feedback. ---

I have high quality album art for every album in my collection so I’m not really keen on switching to normal grid size. Tested it though, and the custom art for the artist is still heavily truncated. ---

Like I said, it’ll be improved for the player bar case too, but you can’t please everyone and I’m sympathetic to those who don’t want to just see a giant screen of artwork w/o any albums 😆 ---

I’m sympathetic to the view that you can’t please all people. 😁 I do feel like there must be a better compromise here though… like maybe putting the art into the top right two thirds of the screen, fading into the left, and scaling it to size. As it stands it looks so bad on my tablet I’ll probably have to turn it off, which doesn’t seem ideal. 🤷‍♂️
