# Plexamp - Android - Set as default music player when using bluetooth

Hi, I’ve noticed that when connected via bluetooth to a device that on apps such as spotify I can press the play button and it’ll attempt to start up and continue where it let off. Would it be possible to get behaviour like this for plexamp?

Bluetooth controls work if the app is currently playing OR if the app has been playing in the last few minutes. That said if I have spotify in the background it’ll actually take precedence when hitting the play button. With spotify removed hitting the play button does nothing unless plexamp is already open.

i’m not entirely sure what this entails; iirc it _might_ involve the ability to play local media, and that’s not something plexamp wants to do.

hopefully i’m just misunderstanding and an android dev here can explain…

I’d definitely would like to see this also. Currently, if I am on my earbuds, pause Plexamp, and then I’m in a longer call for example, then PlexAmp sometimes can have been closed by the OS and the resume button doesn’t work until I pick up the phone and start PlexAmp again.

i think this specific thing might be addressed by the next update, but you could ship us a log after you bang on the resume button and it doesn’t work and we could have a look.
