# Plexamp android showing wrong song in notification center

Plexamp isn’t showing the correct song playing in notification center, or on the lock screen. Think this is a bug.

It’s been like this for as long as I’ve been using plexamp on my mobile device. It reports the correct track when it initially starts playing but eventually it ends up 1 track behind and reports the previous played track and not the current track.
Think there was a thread on this before but its most likely been auto closed due to lack of activity.

As far as I know, this is due to battery saving being enabled for the app, and has nothing to do with us per se. With battery saving enabled, the app isn’t allowed to run to update. Android! Yay!

Interesting! Thanks for this. I was able to set plexamp to unrestricted in my Samsung phone’s settings. Now it works as it should. I wish there was some way to automate this at install, but I guess every android flavor is different?

This one is an issue that’s unique to Samsung, and unfortunately not one that they allow app developers to control.
