Been using Plexamp for a year or more now and love it. I have obviously been “liking” songs, creating playlists, and with the addition of the sonic analysis have been discovering “new” music that I would normally not have listened to.

So, with all that said, is there something I should be backing up in order to avoid losing all of this information? I am guessing Plex stores all of the data mentioned above somewhere. Would hate to lose a year’s plus worth of info.

Apologies if this is detailed somewhere. I did try searching before posting but came up empty handed. Thanks in advance.

All of these data are stored on your Plex server, not inside of plexamp.

Yep. I understand that. Apologies, I should have clarified. I was curious if there was something on the server itself that I should be backing up in addition to the normal stuff. Thank you for reply and link.

Aside from obviously backing up the media itself, the data you need to back up varies by server platform. The article below should assist in figuring out what’s needed:

Let me know if anything’s unclear!
