# PlexAmp-Cant Change Playing Position

PlexAmp Android 4.9.3
While trying to play an audiobook, I can’t adjust the play position. For example, I have an audiobook (single file) that is 6 hours long. It is a .m4b file. When it starts playing, it starts at the beginning of file. Let’s say I let it play for 1 minutes. I then try to position it to 1 hour into the file. It seems to set to the desired time but will skip back the position it has been which is 1 minute in this example.
This was done on cellular in an area without great signal. It is good enough to play but the repositioning isn’t working. I feel like the low quality data signal has something to do with it.
Maybe PlexAmp has a limitation on how long it will wait for the server to respond to an updated position request and if it takes too long it resets to it’s last known position?

In general if the file is converting to Opus, you won’t be able to seek until it’s completely cached. We will fix this in a future release.
