Is there a list of audio client devices that works with PlexAmp? I’ve got a bunch of Chromecast Audio but the no gapless function is really annoying me. I set up a Raspberry Pi with DLNA as a test and it wasn’t visible to PlexAmp. What are other people using? ---

Not a definitive list, but some potential options. Chromecast with Google TV Plex for Android (TV) running on CCwGTV can be controlled from Plexamp and will be gapless, but AFAIK does not support multi-room grouping. Sonos I replaced a couple of CCAs with second-hand Sonos Connects around 6 months ago solely for gapless playback. Note that Sonos will use rg\_track\_gain (if set), not rg\_album\_gain, for loudness leveling which can be almost as annoying as gaps for some albums, but this can be worked around and I’d be happy to provide more information if required. Apple AirPlay FM Transmitter Suitability will obviously vary depending on the quality of your source files and audio components. Thanks for your reply. Thinking I might pick up a used Sonos Connect and see how that goes, and get more if it works. Nothing about the Sonos Connect I need to know before I head down this path? Really annoying that DLNA doesn’t seem to work ---

Plex Pass is required to control Sonos from Plex apps, but music from your Plex library can be played using the Sonos app without Plex Pass. See [Control Sonos Playback With a Plex App | Plex Support](https://support.plex.tv/articles/control-sonos-playback-with-a-plex-app/) If you have hi-res audio files you’ll want to check supported audio formats at [Sonos Support](https://support.sonos.com/s/article/79) I have some issues with the play queue, but only in atypical usage scenarios and nowhere near as annoying as unwelcome gaps during albums. See: [Plex for Sonos - Queue (mis)behaviour](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-for-sonos-queue-mis-behaviour/737456) And either write album gain values to track gain tags or avoid using replaygain tags. If you have the financial capacity you could potentially purchase a Port (successor of the Connect) directly from Sonos, assess the suitability, then pick up a used Connect and return the Port free within 100 days. ---

Thanks for the Sonos tip. I bought one and I am liking how it integrates, certainly better than Plex companion which IMO is clunky. Just bought a second used Sonos Connect and should be about there. Maybe sell of some of my Chromecast Audios which are selling for crazy money here on eBay ---
