# Plexamp Feature Request (autofocus)

Hi Plex, this is a small one, but one that I find myself noticing often.

When you click on the Search icon, would you please autofocus the prompt in the search box instead of needing to click the Search icon and then mouse up and click in the search box.

I’d appreciate it. 🙂

Just tap again. We don’t do it on the first tap because it would hide the charts.

Under Windows, there would have been no downside to correctly setting the input focus on the first click, as nothing gets hidden (everything just nudged down a bit). But it still takes two clicks anyway.

Fortunately, there’s a better workaround than clicking twice: If you activate search using a global keyboard shortcut instead of the mouse, the input focus is correctly set.
