# Plexamp notification disappears on Android 11

In Android 11, ongoing notifications for media players appear on the quick settings shade. If you half drag this widget it reveals a cog that lets android close idle media sessions.
For all intents and purposes, when this setting is toggled the media widget should behave the same as the legacy ongoing notification behavior we are used to in Android.
However, on Plexamp after a few songs the widget will disappear entirely but playback will continue. In order to pause playback I have to reopen the app. The only way to get the media widget to appear again is to pause/play the song however this will have to be done every few songs.
