# Plexamp on openSUSE Leap 15.2: blank screen

Yet another post about plexamp showing as a blank application on Linux.

This is happening on a fresh installation of openSUSE Leap 15.2 on x86\_64. It affects both plexamp 3.4.0 and 3.4.1.

I’ve already tried to start the plexamp using both `--no-sandbox` and `--disable-seccomp-filter-sandbox`. The trick of installing an older libssl and doing a `LD_PRELOAD` of that older `libcrypto` is not working.

I tried removing `~/.config/Plexamp` before each attempt, it didn’t help.  
I tried looking for logs under `~/.cache`, but there are no directories related with plexamp.

Starting the program from the CLI doesn’t give any useful information:  
`Started Media Service: false Linux: Registering MPRIS service. [16602:0120/101240.574724:ERROR:buffer_manager.cc(488)] [.DisplayCompositor]GL ERROR :GL_INVALID_OPERATION : glBufferData: <- error from previous GL command Checking for update Update for version 3.4.1 is not available (latest version: 3.4.1, downgrade is disallowed). checkForUpdatesAndNotify called, downloadPromise is null`

I could make the `GL command` error disappear by passing the `--disable-gpu` flag, but the final outcome is still the same: a blank window.

I really like plexamp, but getting that to work on Linux is a major PITA as many threads on the forum prove ☹
