# Plexamp playback sounds funny

Anybody notice that playback on plexamp sounds like vinyl cracking and popping occasionally…it only does it on plexamp any other device smooth like butter plex app plex for shield etc …just noticed wondering if anyone else has heard or having same occurrence

I am having the same issue on my Samsung phone. Interestingly, I had this problem with the Plex app last year until the devs fixed it!

That’s an interesting data point, we’ll probably be adding some advanced settings for ~Samsung~ some devices to use an alternate audio interface.

Same issue with Plexamp on my Nokia 7 Plus (Android 10).  
The standard Plex app on the same Phone plays perfectly.

I have debug log files from the Plexamp app on my phone if needed.
