# Plexamp Preferences file format

I need to manually specify my reverse proxy plex server hostname since my company is blocking the plex discovery service.

I am able to authenticate but then the music library discovery fails. Is there any way I can configure the preferences file manually?

Also is there any way to add a CA certificate that wont get deleted every time plex updates the CA chain?

Should be a server setting to publish a custom URL

Thanks, I had a problem with my reverse proxy config in apache. Once I fixed that along with the custom URL setting, plexamp was happy

Fixing my config using this 2021 post as a guide worked.

It would be great if plexamp honored the windows certificate store rather than bringing it’s own along. I know the app is built to be cross-platform probably to make your lives easier maintenance-wise
