# Plexamp skips every other song

As the title says, Plexamp on my iPhone will skip every other song via WiFi. I’ve tried everything at this point. It doesn’t matter if I’m playing through Sonos or on my phone. I’ve even reset my Sonos network, rebooted my laptop that houses my plex server. Everything plays fine on my tv and my laptop. Cellular doesn’t skip songs. It’s so aggravating and I don’t know what to do.

This was happening to me when WiFi caching was set to “Only next track” - setting it to 15+ tracks fixed the issue for me.

I had it on 15 songs and changed it to 20. Didn’t help. I thought I had it fixed by using MusicBrainz to find the correct metadata and it was working fine for awhile but now has reverted back to skipping songs. The plex technical support is nonexistent and this issue is very frustrating.

Do you have your music library set to store track progress (advanced settings)? If so, try disabling that.

I have that turned off. It happens when I’m connected to my home network listening via Sonos network.
