# Plexamp: swipe to hide playing track

I’m curious why you have to swipe so hard to hide the playing track in Plex. In all other iOS applications, including Spotify and Music, it’s effortless. Plexamp seems to want to force you to press that little arrow at the bottom of the screen rather than use the far more convenient swipe.

This has been here awhile and I’m wondering whether there’s a reasonable explanation for it, and whether it will be changed.

Please see the video I’ve uploaded [here](https://i.imgur.com/xJDSYRG.mp4). I started swiping normally, then with increasing force, on the Plexamp player to hide the now playing view. Spotify and Music worked fine the first time almost effortlessly.

it’s a bit tricky to offer swipe + scroll inside the full screen container like that. so yeah, i recommend for your sanity you just tap the button at the bottom.

in the future we may have the ability to improve the swipe gesture there.
