Hi all, First, let me say that I love Plexamp, this is actually what I use the most out of all Plex players and great feature. As Google Music is sun setting, I was looking for a replacement that allows me to upload all my music library in the cloud, and offering a great user interface and sync between devices. When I discovered Plex and Plexamp, I felt right away that was THE solution. But, I have a question, It doesn’t seem to have a volume control part of the Plexamp, particularly on the desktop version (I am use a Macbook Pro). I use Looback Audio from Rogue Amobea, as a workaround, which is an amazing MacOS application offering virtual audio cable configurations, which allows me to control the output volume in a sense. I don’t use the Macbook Pro device volume control (on the keyboard), as my sound goes out via USB in an external audio mixer, and then goes to active speakers. I have experienced a nasty distortion recently, and I went on a quest to find the culprit, I did some test with my speakers, I even sent back my audio mixer thinking it was faulty, it’s not, Yamaha didn’t find anything faulty. I don’t think it’s Plexamp, as I experienced the distortion with VLC or even with other input in my mixer (via RCA or XLR). But again, my question is how other users manage the volume output of the plexamp app on their desktop, when I disable Loopback software, the volume is crazy loud and it seems I have no way to put the volume down as there are no volume control on the plexamp ‘app’. Thanks for the kind words! Next version will have an accessible volume slider. For now, you can use Commandl+Option+ up/down arrow to raise/lower Plexamp’s soft volume. ---

Thanks for your reply. I didn’t know this shortcut, nice. I actually just bought SoundSource from Rogue Amoeba, and that helps a lot. Offering a volume fader I can access with the mouse but also allowing to use the physical volume button of the mac keyboard. Good to know a new version is coming! and maybe a “close app” button. In windows… the only way to close it is alt-f4, right click on the start menu aso… I mean… release a program that’s got no close app button ? 😛 Oh and i look forward to the volume slider ! 😃 ---

cast yes. airplay is already there 😅 google cast is in the next release. miracast can die a flaming 💀 ---

It’s there at least! thank you Elan and the team. But I agree that it’s a bit hard to find the first time, and then even knowing where it is to access it. I know design and UX is really hard, and I appreciate Plexamp for its kind of minimalist design. Having said that, it’s a bit counter intuitive to me indeed to have to go to the cast ‘menu’ / ‘button’, just to adjust the volume. ---

It looks like control+ALT + up/down arrows stopped working as volume controls for me. Anyone else experiencing this? I have the latest version 3.3.1 ---
