Hi, A little bit out off subject... I use PlexBMC on Android, and all is becoming to work not bad, a lot of issues with player. But, still some small things with PlexBMC : - The resolution icon (HD, SD , 720, 1080) is often wrong, especially with movies. The other are just right (Audio, codec,...) - The set as watched/unwatched function in menu do not work. PlexBMC 3.2.2 XBMC Gotham 13 alpha 7 (but even before with Frodo 12.2 sames issues) Skin : standard confluence PlexServer : 0.9.8.5 on synology I am intersted on any kind of soution. ---

I am having some configuration issues with the Amber theme. How do I select a default view for TV shows? It looks like I have to set it for each show. In the Plex Setting there is an option under look and feel but the Amber theme is not listed as an option. ---

Why would you use plexbmc on android when plex has an android client that works well. I find Xbmc on android to be an overkill. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD ---

Watched / unwatched will work only in Amber or Quartz if I remember correctly. ---

This is a great XBMC add-on! Quick question: does anyone know if PleXBMC upconverts and, if so, how to enable it? I believe that some Plex clients do; for example, when I watch 480 videos in the Android or in the Windows app, the quality looks upconverted. However, in PleXBMC, it still looks 480. I've tried raising the default quality, always-on transcoding, and using http for streaming. ---

I Hippojay returns soon (I hope he's okay)...worried about the future of PleXBMC with a lot happening in Gotham and also a heap of changes coming in PMS...at the moment it works but it wont be long (I'd guess) before we'll run in to issues... ---

I would not worry about Gotham or am I missing something? PMS changes are bigger problem IMHO.  I'm sure there are other python coders using plexbmc around but they keep silent. ---

All - sorry for not being about - it's been a crazy summer for me and the longer I left it, the more difficult it was to pop in. A lot going off at home and at work, plus the summer holidays here in the UK has taken a large chunk of time out of my diary.  To top it all off, we got notification last week that a contract I'm working on is being ended early by the client, so this means making some large career related decisions too.. This might be a bit lazy of me, but is it possible that someone could summerise all the current issues seen with the client using the current PMS version and also any Gothem related stuff.  It might be quicker than trawling through 3 months worth of posts. I'll try and focus on PMS first and gothem afterwards.  With the kids back at school this week and the nights starting to draw in, I should have some time to look at this now. ---

Amber is probably most used skin on RPi with XBMC and almost all RPi users are running Gotham builds. However, I see no reason for using Gotham if you are not on RPi. Only thing you'll need to do is switch settings to advanced level from the left-side menu in default skin. You can switch to Amber afterwards. If you want to use Quartz make sure to use hippojay's version and NOT the one from XBMC repository. Anyway, I am trying to centralize all the media center functions on the same interface and Plex client do not support tvheadend -\> XBMC yes. That the main reason because I likely prefer XBMC/PlexBMC. In addition to that I prefer the XBMC interface. In Plex client is more painfull to ue Media remote, for example there is no more direct access to filters like "Recently wtched show" and other. Only "On deck" and "recently added" is avilable directly. ---

Many thanks, The main reason I use Gotham is the fact that someone has made a custom version supporting MINIX NEO X5 AC3/DTC pass through wich is not supported natively by XBMC. The used version is 13 Alpha 7. I hope this support will be integrated in future releases. ---

Hey H-J, Great to see you here! I hope you'll manage to sort out all private and family affairs in a short time and to your satisfaction.  Amber skin has just been released into official XBMC repository and comes with full support for Plexbmc. PHT version is in the works. Everything works fine with latest PMS 0.9.8.5 and Plexbmc 3.2.2 (Git version). I had initially a few glitches but it turns out they are PMS related (I had to do clean install). Only thing missing for me is better shelf support - recently added/onDeck per section would be awesome but I would be happy if I could have both recently added and onDeck items available at the same time.  ---

I'm glad you're safe and sound Hippojay....I was more worried for the future of PleXBMC rather than things not currently working..working very nicely at the moment with the exception of multi-user support with myPlex... ---

New to this so not sure if a known problem or I do something wrong. I use PleXBMC on an OpenELEC install and I like it a lot. The problem I have is with live streaming from an external source when using the 'play to' feature from my win8 tablet using either the win8 app or from the PMS web. When selecting the PleXBMC client as the 'play to' device there is a PleXBMC script error and of course the stream doesn't play (no problem with local files). The same streams play ok on a Roku stick I have using 'play to'. thanks ---

how can i make xbmc always show subtitles? i'm using plexbmc with myplex in a friend's house, i am his friend on plexbmc. i don't have external on videos and subtitles option in plexbmc settings. my plex media server preffering hebrew subtitles and always showing subtites and plexbmc on plex control on the video and subtitles option. when it's on that one, it'll show the subtitles only if i'll manually select them. by that i mean-if i click audio osd while movie play the hebrew sub will be chhosed but not play, i'll have to put on the show subtitles. if i'll tell him to keep these settings for all videos it'll save anything, except show subtitles on. when xbmc control it's just can't see the subtitles, nothing to talk about. it does work like it should and only shows subtitles when i'm telling it to transcode. in that case i'll see subtitles (played by plex and not xbmc), and for that xbmc will not know there is subtitle running. i don't want to transcode cause xbmc can play it all, and when plex plays the subtitle and not xbmc the , . ? !
