# PlexConnect.py not working

Hi guys

&nbsp;

I have tried running plexconnect.py through Python and it just shuts down immediately. I then tried running it through a CMD running as administrator and this happens. I have checked the folder and all the permissions are set to admin read and write.&nbsp;

Any ideas?&nbsp;

I don't have experience with PlexConnect but generally you run Python programs like:

```
python PlexConnect.py
```

or if you don't have python.exe in the system enivronment:

```
/path/to/python.exe PlexConnect.py
```

tried both of those, and the original method of just plexconnct.py and these are the results.

Just to confirm:

I have fixed the ip address in my router

I have installed the certificates into the plex connect folder

When I first did this a while ago I got it all working great, but for some reason the default program for my .py files have changed from python to CMD prompt, and since then I can't run the scripts in CMD and I can't seem to change the default back to Python despite going through control panel, and reinstalling python

I removed everything and started from the beginning and it is working fine now
