# PlexConnect V.0.2 parameter not working

Further the update for PlexConnect alpha to V.0.2 I can't change any the PlexConnect settings on the ATV...

What are the permissions on the atvsettings.cfg and settings.cfg file?

All my permissions are on read and write for all users but I still can't get my settings to work on my Apple TV. The playback of the videos works still great.

It’s Just that since I installed the latest version of PlexConnect, i’m not able anymore to change any settings directly from my Apple TV. I can’t check or uncheck anything. I’m not even able to put my MyPlex login. Everything was working fine with earlier versions. By the way, I did upgrade PlexConnect and Plex Media Server the same day. I don’t know if it can help you ?

@baa yes it the same issue.
But I have started a new topic because it is not linked to the pms version. Indeed I tried with my previous version of plexconnect and it was working fine.
I have exactly the same issue as Artaud.c

If you are on OSX can you do a get info on atvsettings.cfg and settings.cfg and post screens of the exact permissions and ownerships please.

I checked this morning and it was for both files my Mac user name read/write permission

The cert should be fine as long as your .pem is the same as whe. You generated the .cer, and if it was not correct you would not even get to the initial plexconnect screen

Still seems to work for me.
PMS should have no influence on this... How do you shutdown PlexConnect?

I'm trying to reinstall PlexConnect from the beginning. Maybe I did something wrong. I'll let you know. I don't shutdown PlexConnect because I use the Daemon autostart.

Ok, so the issue is NOT that your settings are not getting saved?
The issue really is that pressing a setting within PlexConnect-\>Settings doesn't toggle through the options? It really sounds strange... :-D
Anything special on your setup? aTV language setting?

Yes exactly, pressing buttons doesn’t react. After the total reinstall (Atv + PlexConnect) it’s still the same thing. It was working with previous versions. My Atv is set for french language.

Ok, I tried to change my Atv to english language and everything works fine again. So it’s a bug with the french language. If I put it back to french again it stops working but keep the settings I changed.

Yes... confirmed. It's a french thing. It doesn't like that translation: "Nom d'utilisateur MyPlex".
Edit: Fixed. Please try the latest.
