I have a number of drives that are already full and I add new storage to make space for new media. Library scans are starting to take a very long time, and it would be great if the .plexignore function could be expanded so that it could tell the scanner to skip folders that never change but not remove them from the library. I understand the downside is that deleted media would still appear in the library but I think the performance enhancement for scanning out-weighs this and this is already “advanced” functionality that average users wouldn’t leverage.
