I have not looked at any logs from your server - so cannot say if those urlâs or responses to these endpoints for your HD Homerun IP Address are relevant to your issue
yes it was taking forever. usually it goes fairly quickly.
No, both tuners were failing. It ended up starting to work again. I am on the older version now, and the guide loaded much faster.
Responses are attached.HDHomerune-192.168.1.9.zip (6.7 KB)
@DaveBinM from my memory the URL IceTV provides pulls down a .gz compressed file. Hence the reason I went via a simple script to retrieve file, uncompress and move to a location that the DVR can read.
Also allows me to schedule the task via Synology Task Manager to retrieve the Guide Data when I want. My Synology also notifies me each day the outcome of the task schedule so I can quickly see of there are any errors in retrieving the guide data.
If Plex DVR functionality can deal with compressed files then perhaps your method would work as well.
You are correct.
The IceTV api call does retrieve XML and it appears I did include this in the Plex DVR configuration, without needing an external script.
The script I was referring to was for au.freepg.tv setup. Their Guide data is compressed, hence the extra steps etc.
Honestly, I wasnât happy with the channel matching and lack of data available (Brisbane) with the au.freepg.tv configuration so changed over to IceTV.
I am one of those people running HDHomeRun older model whose Live TV and DVR were working just fine until very recently. I have not upgraded my plex version because I donât want to be a beta tester.
I tried deleting the DVR and creating a new one. I canât complete the process because Plex canât fetch the guide data. So, I no longer have Live TV & DVR service.
What happened? What does EPG mean and did yaâll make a change in it?
I am in the US. This is not a new install. I donât know where to look to find out what exact version I am running. Here are the details on my HDHomeRun tuner which Plex can now see, but not fetch a guide for.
Same problem here, in Finland. Started less than a week ago.
Cannot connect HDHomeRun Expand. Connecting web browser to HDHomerun works OK. Also HDHomerun application (in same computer) connects and LiveTV works OK.
I have two Plex servers and Windows PC -version is running DVDR, and cannot connect to HDHomerun⊠any more. Plex server running in QNAP -server does see HDHomerun Expand.
So this issue is only with Plex-server (Pass 1.16.3.1433) installed Windows 10 computer.
would need debug server logs from launch of the server up to when you get the problem
So please enable debug logging - see settings/server/general/show advanced page
restart the server
reproduce the problem
capture the screenshot - uncropped showing url and time of day
and server logs zip - see settings / manage / help - download logs
I think it depends if the program you need is already captured . Whilst refreshing the guide after initial setup, there is a note
Setup complete!
You can now find your Guide and Recordings in the sidebar under âLive TV & DVRâ. While weâre grabbing the guide data, you can start browsing; it will update automatically as we download whatâs on.
Thanks for the logs, I can see that Plex Web is getting errors back following an attempt by Plex Media Server to migrate to the new EPG and it failed and it attempted to delete the DVR. This does not appear to have been successful
At what point did you take this screenshot? I have log covering 23:19 to 23:22 - was this screenshot during this period? The screenshot normally follows entry of post code but i cannot see this in the log
To recover the situation we need to delete the DVR, What happens at the moment if you relaunch Plex Media Server and then go to server settings and select settings page for Live TV and DVR? Do you get the option to Delete the DVR?
