# Plugins Synology NAS

Hallo zusammen,

ich wollte mich mal an Plugins für Plex versuchen.  
Scheitere aber daran dass keines angezeigt wird.  
Meine Plugins liegen unter  
\Library\Application Support\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins  
Ich habe den Server neu gestartet und habe z.B. tautulli.bundle als Unterordner.  
Leider ist Plugins leer!?  
Kann mir jemand helfen?

## Q15: Adding plug-ins to Plex

**Note:** From November 30 2018, plug-ins are being phased out. However, for the time being, you will still be able to install plug-ins manually as outlined below.

From Plex version 1.16.3 onwards, plugins are now accessed from Plex Settings \> Server \> Plugins.

I highly recommend that you use WebTools to install/uninstall plug-ins, but do note, that many plugins will no longer work in Plex. [WebTools](http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/126254/rel-webtools/p1)

**Note:** There is also an easy to install .spk package available: [WebTools](https://github.com/ukdtom/WTInstaller/releases/tag/1.2)

This will install the latest version of WebTools in the same manner as manually installing Plex on your Synology NAS.

On a Synology NAS, Third Party plug-ins are stored here: `Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins`  
You must rename the plugin folder after extracting it from the zip file and the folders should look something like this:

```auto
/Plug-ins
    /WebTools.bundle
        /Contents
        /http

```

## Q7a: I don’t see the Plex folder anywhere?

During normal operation, you do not need to access the Plex share. The only data it contains which you might need access to are the log files. If you need to manually extract the log files, as requested by a Ninja or Team member, the steps to make the Plex shared folder visible are:

1. Open DSM Control Panel \> Shared Folders and `edit` the **Plex** shared folder
2. Click the **Permissions** tab
3. Scroll down the list of users and click `R/W` for your username and for admin
4. Click `OK` to make it take effect.
5. Close and re-open File Station

**Note:** Windows users should make sure that, on the General tab, `Hide this shared folder in "My Network Places"` is NOT turned on.

Hm habe es nach der Anleitung probiert aber im Plex ist kein Plugin zu sehen.  
Webtools hab ich zum laufen bekommen aber wenn ich einen github link einfüge bekomme ich:

Aber sämtliche Plugins, die dir Medieninhalte wiedergeben, kannst du eh vergessen. Nur noch Tools und Agenten funktionieren.

Tautulli muss man anders installieren, da das kein reines Plugin ist sondern ein eigenständiges Programm.
