PM4K / PlexMod for Kodi (18, 19, 20, 21, 22+)

Thanks you so much for updating this plugin, I’ve only just become aware of development still happening with it when I got an update request in kodi.

I’m going to test the dev ones now and will get back to you if there are any issues.

Question: will you be updating the UI to match the new UI across all the other plex apps at all?

That’s weird, I just tested develop_kodi19 on Windows, playback and seeking works as expected. Any logs?

Do you have logs I can take a look at?

Probably not. Ruuk and myself don’t really have the time.

Might have gotten taken care of on the Kodi end of things, I updated to the v3.3.1 which pulls from the latest Kodi 19 master commits, which apparently include fixing addon crashes and now develop_kodi19 works just fine. You might have just been working with the latest Kodi 19 commits while the fork I was using didn’t have the fixes implemented yet.

Fair enough!

In regards to the stable release that you’ve put out for Kodi 18… It really is SO much more stable than the version I had before. It’s much quicker & doesn’t fail to load images etc too. Thanks for your hard work!

I have some new crashes upon updating to Kodi 19 HDR Windows API 3.4.0 using develop_kodi19, and I logged the crashes but I can’t find where the logs are stored. What file am I looking for? I’ll upload right away once I know what I’m looking for.

It’s normally under %APPDATA%\Kodi.

The dev got back to me, 3.4.0 is a backport so I just reverted to 3.3.1 and the problem resolved itself. Back on the develop_kodi19 and running well. Still, here’s the dmp file and crash log if you need it: https://paste.kodi.tv/ecoqosevim.kodi kodi_crashlog-19.0-ALPHA1 Git_20200402-e8f95698df-dirty-20200403-181812.zip (49.2 KB)

Hey, I’ve got an issue with the latest version where when I stop an episode, instead of going back to the episode list etc, it starts counting down to play the next episode instead.

Have a problem with latest kodi master nightly (20200514), the plex add on doesn’t start anymore. If I go back and install April time frame kodi it is running

This is probably due to abortRequested being deprecated and finally being phased out in recent builds. See https://kodi.wiki/view/Service_add-ons.

@ruuk I guess we could drop support for this in kodi19 branch.

@SheshouPlex this might be fixed in https://github.com/pannal/plex-for-kodi/tree/kodi19. Care to try?

Logs?

Hi Panni - yes works now with latest daily kodi 19. Thank you !
Kai

I just updated to Kodi 19 and tried the addon again. I still have this issue where subtitles doesn’t appear until 10 seconds into the video.
It happens with mkv’s with internal subtitles in .ass/ssa format.

I’ve experienced the same with embedded subtitles. Doesn’t seem like I can do anything about that, though, happens with Kodi 18 as well.

That’s a shame then. Is the problem with the addon or with Kodi?

I think it’s with Kodi. I’ve been playing around with embedded subtitle streams and I can’t seem to get them to play during the first few seconds.

Maybe raise the issue with them.

I made a thread about it, and it was suggested to try a different Plex addon, Composite, just to see if the problem persist. It didn’t, so I guess that points back to the Plex for Kodi addon.

Is there anything I can do to help pin down what causes the issue?
