I went to the effort of redoing my TV show recordings with chapters for commercials, but I went into the Windows 10 Plex Media Player App and I can’t figure out what key to press to move between the chapters. In the web browser player it is ‘[’ and ‘]’. I tried this and the arrow keys without success.
In PMP you would use the UP and DOWN arrows

I had tried it before, but I waited to post until I was able to go home and try again.
In Windows 10 with PMP installed through the Windows Store, up and down did nothing on my computer. It didn’t move between chapters and it didn’t advance/retreat 10 minutes as the article claims.
Am I doing it wrong, what am I missing here?
I think the arrow controls are for the desktop PMP and not the Windows store app.
I would try
Ctrl+B - Step back 10 seconds Ctrl+F - Step forward 30 seconds
but not sure the app supports Chapters

Plex Media Player (PMP) is not the same as the Plex for Windows app.

Okay, good to get that straight.
Next question, how do I advance/retreat chapters in the ‘Plex for Windows app’?

This does step forward/back 30/10 seconds in ‘Plex for Windows app’, but it doesn’t do anything with chapters.
You could always install the non-windows app store version of Plex Media Player as it supports chapters
Sounds like a good option. Since I just learned they are different, are there any other major differences? I thought the Windows 10 Plex app was the future for most development activities.

The app is stuck in the Windows sandbox - it’s very limited to what it can do. It’s primarily a single app that supports mobile and computer, but it’s in no way a replacement or better than the desktop application.

The Plex for Windows app doesn’t currently support chapters. There isn’t a way to skip chapters right now since it isn’t aware of them.
