They have always stripped the closed captions from the remuxed MKV files.

Thanks for the links… but now this makes the situation worse that they are remuxing for EVERYONE. If they are having issues with something then they should make it OPTIONAL with a warning that they are not including subtitles, not mandatory. Major, major design/implementation failure.
so the solution is to put TS files back
I have a script that pulls CCs from the TS, and remuxes everything to an MKV.
was working perfectly.
Now… with no TS… I am stuck.

I don’t get it either…
I ended up reverting back to v1.5.5, as I need the DVR recordings to be in the .ts format. This way I can use Smart Cutter to manually edit out commercials with precision to add the recording to my library. From what I’m reading, I will need to stick to the older version from this point forward? I hope Plex puts the .ts option back.

It seems after the change back, the .ts files have no Closed Captions? Is anyone else experiencing this? @Wiidesire have you experienced this?
working fine for me.
I have me scripts to extract (that I has writen pre-1.7.1
with the switch back, my scripts once again work
