# PMS Analyze not creating preview thumbnails, detecting intros

Server Version#: v1.21.4.4079-1b7748a7b (Ubuntu 18.04)
Player Version#: v1.28.0.1681-cc6e807c (Windows)
Started noticing recently that new content was not getting preview thumbnails or detecting intros. Verified that they are both turned on in library settings.
When manually starting an analyze, activity shows nothing, but console shows it is looking though the library. From what I can tell, it is just reviewing metadata though, as VPT’s and intro detection usually take longer, and it’s only spending a few ms on each file.
I tried some troubleshooting, including [plex dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064), un/reinstalling PMS, repairing database with no change.
I’m at a loss for what to try next. Any chance this is a known issue?

When running analyze manually, logs show it going though library with entries that look like this:

Nevermind. Switched some other settings off and on again, appears to be working again.
A day later, would not start scheduled tasks. Stopped the service, restarted it, then in Settings-\>Library, had to set Generate Preview Thumbnails and Generate Intro Markers to ‘never’ and save. Set them back to as a scheduled task and saved, then I was able to manually start Analyze on each library.
