Have been using PMS almost daily for the past several weeks without any problem. Last night I opened PMS and selected a movie. it began to play and shortly stopped. I checked the TV and did not find any problem. I went to the computer on which the PMS is on and found the computer was off. Rebooted computer and watched the computer shutdown and reboot once I selected a movie. I tried again selecting another movie with the same result. I gave up that night and starting the next day.
First I did some house cleaning on the computer and then I downloaded and installed the latest version of PMS for a 64bit Windows 11 with an AMD Ryzenn processor. Woe is me, the same thing happened!
I read in support something about ‘claiming my server’. I tried following the directions but was never able to proceed because the PMS caused the computer to shut down as soon as the program opened.
The version on the PMS is v.1.40.0.7998-c29d4c0c8 February 13, 2024
Note: I reviewed previous posts with similar problems but they were all very old and not very alike. IMO
