PMS - no external drive listed for PMS metadata Storage Location

Server Version#: 1.16.5.1554
Player Version#: 7.21.0.12194

I’ve had a look through a few posts here but was unable to see if anyone else was experiencing this.
I have a 4tb WD Red connected to my Shield via USB.
I have always had my PMS metadata stored on this drive as the internal storage can fill up quite quickly.

I have just done a full reset of the nvidia shield and am still unable to choose the option to move my pms metadata to my external drive.

The external drive is fully accessible via file browsers and also holds my movie rips for Plex itself.
Anyone else in a similar situation?

Thanks

Hey there, you’ll find a lot of information about NVDIA Shield storage on the Plex website. Tell us what you’ve tried and where you need some more help.

Hey nibbles, made an edit to my post to better explain. This is all about the option to choose where my servers metadata is stored.
Has the option to choose an external device been removed?

Though I linked an article about moving media storage, did anything good come out of the other article about Moving server data storage location on NVIDIA SHIELD

If you are using the shield hotfix image there is currently a bug with removable storage showing up.

Hi,
I have the same issue.
Do we know when this bug will be corrected ?

Could you paste a link for us to that hot fix? Searching is an art, thanks.
