# PMS not removing metadata for removed/missing content

Player Version#: 4.38.2 (Plex web)
I recently lost more than 90% of my TV library, when the drive it was stored on died. I’ve since replaced the drive, but have not re-added any of the missing items, because I didn’t have backups.
It’s been more than 2 weeks, and all of the missing items are still in my library. Nothing I’ve tried removes the old content. Things I’ve tried:
Manual library scan
Manual emptying of trash
Refresh metadata
temporarily add media to source folder for scan
Delete source folder
None of the above has made any difference, and the missing items don’t show the trashcan icon… They just fail to play.

1. Verify DEBUG logging, not VERBOSE, is enabled
2. Restart PMS
3. Wait 2 minutes
4. Please attempt to play one known failing item.
5. Wait 30 seconds after it fails –
6. Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
7. Attach the ZIP file

The biggest problem you have is Pop isn’t handing SNI (Server Name Identification( correctly.

As direct result SSL isn’t working right and remains in perpectual retry every 10 minutes (600 seconds).
You need to resolve what’s going on there.
Also be advised, Pop isn’t supported. While it may be a derivative of Ubuntu/Debian, there’s a reason it is. Whatever they removed might well be the problem with your TLS SSL.

Sounds like you’re telling me I need to change the OS on that PC… story of my life. the OS is on it’s own drive, and is separate from my home directory, and all libraries.
Can I just delete the OS partition, install kubuntu, (which I know is supported), and keep going, or do I need to start completely fresh?
