Would Plex be willing to maintain an official PPA on launchpad to host the latest stable builds of plex media server?  This way adding the PPA would allow you to override the horribly out of date version of plex media server in the main ubuntu repos, and allow for easy updating when a new version of plex media server is built and distributed.   Right now its quite a process to download it and install with the dpkg tools, when it really should just be included when I run batch updates. ---

I think there was one but then it broke, from what I gleaned from old posts.  So I guess this is a request to fix it  ;) ---

This would be great! There is a ppa for PHT but not for server. Manually checking for versions would be eliminated with one simple setup. ---
