Hi, Congratulation on releasing podcast in plex ! One step closer to be the absolute perfect media server ! For me, to make the podcast feature better, it needs to become like the Downcast app on iOS/MacOS ([http://www.downcastapp.com](http://www.downcastapp.com)) : • Chose for a subscription on the app to be always downloaded on the app or just streamed from the server • Download podcasts automatically (on the server and on the app) • Continue podcast downloads in the background\* (app) • Auto-refresh podcast feeds • Settings for auto-download and episode retention (app) • Import and export podcast feeds via OPML • Support for password-protected podcasts • Create and edit “smart” playlists • synchronisation between the app and the server of the reading position of an episode (like for everything in plex) I guess these features are already there or in the process to be. hide played podcasts! when sorting oldest to newest and there are hundreds of episodes scrolling 900 lines it a pain! ---

I second password protected podcasts. I would also like to second downloading them. I like to archive everything so I prefer not to stream them otherwise I would be listening on plex and downloading somewhere else. ---

I would love to move to using plex for my podcasts however it needs a very similar feature set to pocketcasts for me to do that. Fundamental features as follows: - Show played episodes below played episodes so the massive list that sometimes shows in some podcast subscriptions are not ‘in the way’. Even better collapse played so I can view them if needed - Allow me to keep all unplayed episodes until played and not restrict to a set number - Allow me to set a global podcast download rule (e.g. auto download when new episode is found), how many to keep (unplayed or not), playback speed etc that gets applied to all podcasts if I want but also allow me to set individually if I want - If I delete podcasts subscriptions and import an OPML file please don’t double up the ones that had previously imported on the last OPML file I imported - When deleting podcasts subscriptions give me the choice to keep downloaded files or delete them all - Please let me select multiple podcasts and multiple episodes where a list / grid is shown - Where I can multi select items offer me relevant actions (e.g. multi select podcasts offer unsubscribe etc, multi select episodes offer mark unplayed / download / delete etc) ---

Downloaded podcast episodes put into queue do not persist playback speed between episodes in queue. Makes it impossible to listen continuously with same playback speed or use Android Auto because I have to exit Android Auto to change the speed on each episode. Also when playing a podcast episode and moving to next episode in queue the speed does not persist until I unlock my phone. Very inconsistent. Needs offline playback speed preference. Also needs to be able to download to SD Card. ---
