Premium Music Library not using Premium Agent

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488

I have signed up to Premium and have created a new Music Library (with the Premium option ticked), pointed at my existing media folders.

The library is clearly not pulling in any details from Gracenote - all of the artist bios are from Last.fm and there are no album reviews.

When I go to “fix match”->options for an album I don’t have an option to use the Premium Music Agent - just “Personal Media Artists” and “Last.fm” - should I see the premium agent there?

It feels like the library is not marked as “premium” and so not using the Premium agent but I don’t know how to check

Any help gratefully received.

If you Edit your library, go to the ‘Advanced’ tab and you see adrop-down selector for the Agent, you don’t have a Premium library.

If you on the other hand can see ‘Premium Music settings’, you have indeed a premium Library.

Gracenote is only providing some features to a premium library. It doesn’t necessarily provide all the meta data.

Thanks for the reply. On that basis I DO have a premium library but no reviews have been downloaded for any of the albums and all the artist bios are from Last.fm, so not sure what’s happening - other than I don’t think I need to keep the premium subscription!

Album reviews haven’t been working for a long time.

If you want to unsubscribe from the Plex Pass, be aware that the Premium music library is not all that it gives you.

Thanks again for the reply. It is a bit misleading that the page you linked to says: “Enjoy better artwork and artist bios, album reviews, improved matching, automatic lyrics from LyricFind, and more.” if reviews haven’t worked for a long time. Do you know if there is a fix likely? FWIW I can’t get Lyrics to work either…
