Player Version#🪟 11

Good evening everyone.
I’ve been having a problem with my server for a few days now.
I created a section with Disney films for my son, which until a few days ago was fine with the films playing without problems, but now for a few days it has been giving me an error continuously, regardless of the film he can choose.
The strange thing is that if the movies in this folder remain without metadata inserted, they work perfectly, but if I update their metadata, inserting the poster and info with the Plex agent, it irreparably gives me an error.
What do you think?!

What error is it you get?
Do you get the same issue on different Plex apps or just the windows desktop app?

HI,
thanks for the quick reply.^^
The error is as follows: “An unexpected error occurred while loading the item to play.” and it occurs to me with all Plex apps, but only with the aforementioned folder and only if with the metadata inserted. If the movies are not associated, they play without problems. ☹

I guess your [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) might show some hints of what’s going wrong.

That snippet won’t be helping all that much.
Can you download the entire logs bundle and attach it here (see the instructions from the linked support article in my post above)? Also… please include a short reference what movie you’re attempting to start that fails to stream.

Good morning.
I put the entire log this time. In the final part you can view the problem I was talking about. The film in question is Rebel - The Brave.

From the log (which are still not the entire [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) we asked for) I am seeing a little bit that might hint to what is going on.

`Feb 12, 2023 12:22:28.385 [8504] DEBUG - [Req#27b0] Migrating metadata settings from plex://movie/5d7768a247dd6e001f6bca0e -> local://109191`

`Feb 12, 2023 12:22:28.385 [8504] DEBUG - [Req#27b0] -> Simply giving existing setting new GUID.`

`Feb 12, 2023 12:22:28.389 [8504] DEBUG - [Req#27b0] Updating metadata item (save) (Ribelle - The Brave) with ID 109191`

`Feb 12, 2023 12:22:28.401 [8504] DEBUG - [Req#27b0] Matching 'Ribelle - The Brave' (ID 109191) with agent tv.plex.agents.none`

Plex isnt matching the file, and is actively unmatching them. I dont have the scanner logs, but I am going to guess its a file naming issue.

I would recommend using a format like `Brave (2012) {imdb-tt1217209}`

My canned response is to see [https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/) and:
If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using [Download - tinyMediaManager](https://www.tinymediamanager.org/download/release-v3/) and use `${title} (${year}) {imdb-${imdb}}` as the new name format.

Folder format:
`${title} (${year})`

(Please note I linked to the v3 which is free to use)

Thanks for the reply.
The problem is not caused by names written incorrectly or differently from how Plex wants them, given that the server perfectly associates the file, putting the poster and info of the film, but does not reproduce it. Up until a few days ago it did, but now It does not work anymore.
Anyway I tried renaming the file, but it didn’t help…always associated correctly, but it gives me an error in playback.
Anyway, I put all the zip file of the log that I downloaded, I thought you only needed the one linked before, sorry ☹
