So I have a strange thing happening. Recently, I finally built a Plex Server powerful enough to share my media with my family members. I set them up with their own Plex user accounts and then went into my libraries, and gave everyone their own Library and shared their respective library with them. (TV Shows-Uncle John, TV Shows-Aunt Yvonne, etc.) If Uncle John wants to see Game of Thrones and I don’t already have it somewhere else, I place the media files in D:\MEDIA\TV Shows-Uncle John\Game of Thrones and it shows up in his shared library that I created for him and everything is fine…however, if Aunt Yvonne later says she’s also interested in Game of Thrones, I simply edit the TV Shows-Aunt Yvonne library, and add an additional folder: D:\MEDIA\TV Shows-Uncle John\Game of Thrones…except when I do this, Plex automatically scans library files and ends up adding several shows to Aunt Yvonnes library within Plex, “Pokemon”, “House”, “The Walking Dead”, “Breaking Bad”, and a Game of Thrones…each of these contains a season of Game of Thrones, and I don’t even have these other TV Shows anywhere in my libraries…what the heck is happening? Has anyone seen this before? Can I not add the same folder to multiple libraries? It seems random…some shows I can include in multiple libraries without issue, and others I cannot. ☹ ---

I do the exact same thing you do, sharing multiple folders from libraries. Make your folder structure like this. ```auto D:\MEDIA\TV Shows-Uncle John\Game of Thrones (2011)\Game of Thrones (2011)\Season 01 D:\MEDIA\TV Shows-Uncle John\Game of Thrones (2011)\Game of Thrones (2011)\Season 02 D:\MEDIA\TV Shows-Uncle John\Game of Thrones (2011)\Game of Thrones (2011)\Season 03 etc... ``` And add the path `D:\MEDIA\TV Shows-Uncle John\Game of Thrones (2011)\` to your aunts library. This will give her access to the folder(tv show) Game of Thrones. It may look silly but plex needs to know what series to match. much like `D:\MEDIA\TV Shows-Uncle John\` As you well know plex hasn’t matched a show called `TV Shows-Uncle John` because this is the ROOT of your library. Any additional paths you add to your libraries will also be the `ROOT` and plex will scan the subfolders to find shows. ---

Why not adding all shows to the same library and edit the sharing labels on these shows? The result will be the same: everyone will only see the shows (s)he is interested in. Wow, this solved it! You’re right, it does look silly but it makes sense. I followed your structure & was able to add it to everyone’s library without issue! Thanks so much for your help! ---
