Server Version#: plexinc/pms-docker:latest
Player Version#: Sonos
Hi, I purchased a lifetime Pless Pass subscription a few days ago, with the main goal of using my Plex Media Server from my Sonos system.
Unfortunately, and despite a lot of research, I can’t use Plex from the Sonos app.
I understood that the cache of my main Plex account in the Plex cloud had to be reset by a Plex support employee -as reported by several users who encountered this problem -
There is no account clearing. What was happening in the past we were clearing the cache for the service as whole. But that does not work anymore as far as we can tell.
While digging -again- with this problem, came to the probable source:
Some tracks can be played on Sonos
But mostly it fails with interesting message in PMS log :
WARN - [Req#2747/Transcode] Streaming Resource: Bandwidth exceeded: 2147483647 kbps > 8000 kbps
There are other warnings in the log, such as:
WARN - [Req#298d] Missing X-Plex-Container-Size header. Response will be truncated to contain only the first 100 items in the future.
WARN - [Req#2987] Missing X-Plex-Container-Size header. This will fail with status code 400 in the future.
ARN - [Req#2cd5] QueryParser: Invalid field ‘contentDirectoryID’ found, ignoring.
Only with failed tracks lead to Streaming Resource: Bandwidth exceeded message
So please how can we limnit bandwith to an acceptable value, that is 8000 kbps as we see ?
