I recently moved my libraries to a larger hard drive: I copied the Music, Movies, and TV folders to the new drive, then edited the library settings in Plex to point to the new locations. All three are on the same drive.
Music and Movies are fine – metadata is correct, and the content plays without problems.
TV Shows are missing metadata, despite many efforts with different agents and doing the “Plex Dance” several times. The content will play, but is much slower to start than movies.
I also tried deleting the TV library and using the folder on the previous drive, and had the same issues.
Do you by chance still have a backup from before you started migrating your media?
You could have simply followed the instructions from the support article below and have avoided requiring any new metadata in the first step.
